{"id":17446,"date":"2019-06-07T13:53:30","date_gmt":"2019-06-07T13:53:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.woodlands.edu.uy\/esp\/?p=17446"},"modified":"2019-06-07T13:54:08","modified_gmt":"2019-06-07T13:54:08","slug":"book-day-character-parade","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.woodlands.edu.uy\/esp\/book-day-character-parade\/","title":{"rendered":"Book day &#8211; Character Parade"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Celebrating this year\u00b4s Book Day we worked throughout the whole month of May in different activities to bring reading closer to children.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>We divided literary genres and styles into Grades like this: Grade 1 and 2 worked with Classic Stories, Grade 3 with Comic Books, Grade 4 with Mystery, Grade 5 with Mythology and Grade 6 with Biographies. For each style, several activities were done to explore and broaden the knowledge and taste for the genre. We closed the Month with a big Character Parade in which each child chose a character from the stories worked on.
