In Grade 5 we have been learning about ecosystems and the plants and animals that live in them. We have been very fortunate to have had many special guests visit us over the past week.<\/p>\n

On Friday the 30th, Nicol\u00e1s Silveira, a plant expert, came to visit us. He spoke to us about the characteristics of plants, how they reproduce and the ecosystems found in Uruguay. Nicol\u00e1s also told us about how he became involved in studying and working for the University of the Rep\u00fablic in the Agriculture Department. <\/span><\/p>\n Thank you to Nicol\u00e1s for his time and effort.<\/span><\/p>\n The following was written by Grade 5S:<\/p>\n Yesterday an awesome duo taught us about landscaping. Anal\u00eda is an artist and Ximena is an architect. Both studied gardening and landscaping and now they work together.<\/p>\n Their job is to design landscapes for different people and in different places. For example, they had to design a public square (una plaza) in La Charqueada, Treinta y Tres.<\/p>\n Anal\u00eda and Ximena showed us the steps they follow from the beginning to the end.
